A little about me the author - Zequeatta Jaques (pronounced Jakeways). On November 10, 1959, I was the second daughter born within a family that would eventually consist of six children. Four girls and two boys. While growing up there was never a quiet moment in our house it seemed.
The six of us were a rowdy bunch of kids, who always had some mischief brewing.
The year of 1977, I met my husband, Steve, and we married in 1978. Steve and I make our home in the great state of Oklahoma and have for the past thirty-two years. We have two beautiful grown daughters, who have their own lives to live now, although Nana and Papa are kept busy with the four grandchildren gifted to them.
Why do I write? I write for the love of spinning a great story. As a child the moment that I learned to read I developed a deep appreciation for books. And as an avid reader, I can't think of a better day to have than to be able to curl up with a good book and lose myself within its contents. Ah, the wonder of other lives, other worlds. If I don't have a good book to read, then the next best thing I've found is to go plant a flower or lie around in the sun visiting with friends and family.
When writing and I find myself stuck on a storyline, if it's summer, I go outside and work in my flower beds until the characters speak to me again. If it is winter, then hey, I curl up with a good book.

Steve has a love for horses and who has too many (Had to put that in). This is Driftin Red Rogers one of Steve's stallions. The stallion wasn't too happy when this picture was snapped. He had just been taken off of the paster away from the mares.
Even though the horses are a lot of work and expense, I still love to see them gallivanting around in the pasture, especially the babies.
